Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo pour in 21 PTS each as Miami wins Game 2 to even the series!ĭEN/MIA Game 3: Wednesday, 8:30pm/et on ABC /IMmCFLizkq - NBA 5, 2023 Gabe Vincent, the impressive point guard for the Heat, successfully made 4 out of 6 shots from beyond the three-point line, contributing to his team-leading 23 points. Max Strus, who had previously missed all 10 of his field goal attempts in Game 1, made his first three three-pointers early in the game. 7.The Heat's defense was the key to their victory, as they focused on defending every other player other tha Nikola Jokic who scored 41 points with 11 rebounds to his name, also chipping in 4 assists. And that means they’ll be a joy to watch. I had trouble figuring out where to put them, but I’m convinced Donovan Mitchell will be even better now that he has help. Maybe this ranking will convince you to watch this team more. I wish the rest of the world would love Nikola Jokic as much as I do. And it’s okay to admit there’s still some schadenfreude involved when you watch. They can still contend when Klay Thompson comes back. I want to see how he and D’Angelo Russell play together. I get it, but here’s why they’re still a top-10 team: Steph Curry is still magic. Golden State WarriorsĮither you’re going to think this is too high or too low. There’s so much to like from Marcus Smart to Jayson Tatum to Kemba Walker getting out of Charlotte. I want this team to be so much more watchable. But they’ll vault up into the top-10 when Kevin Durant returns. Brooklyn NetsĪn underrated watchability team even with Kyrie Irving in the mix. I’m high on them from a standings perspective but I’m not sure they’ll be a top-10 must-tune-in team this year, and they’ll be just fine with that. But let’s see if they can do it again now that the franchise put together a solid core. Sacramento Kingsĭid you miss last year how this team became speedy and suddenly fun to watch? Yes, they just fired the coach that implemented that scheme. They take a big hit without Kawhi Leonard, but I loved watching Pascal Siakam this year and am curious to see how he does as the team’s centerpiece. But are you really tuning in to watch them knowing they’re probably not good enough to beat a lot of the West teams? 17. They’re going to be good, especially when Dejounte Murray returns healthy. and Brandon Clarke will be so much fun to watch. Higher up because Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr. Plus, what’s Deandre Ayton in his sophomore year going to be like? 19. I want to see how Devin Booker does now that he has a point guard to play with. I will watch a few Heat games in the hopes of seeing Jimmy Butler blow up on a teammate and maybe to see Derrick Jones Jr. Karl-Anthony Towns is a really, really good reason to watch. I love what they’re doing in their rebuild, but they’re a year or two away from gelling and breaking into the top-15 of this list. Otherwise? It’s basically the 2018-19 team again. Maybe THIS is the year Jonathan Isaac breaks out and you’ll definitely want to tune in if/when Markelle Fultz plays. Barrett and Mitchell Robinson in Year 2 might be a reason to tune in, but aren’t you morbidly curious to watch and see how a mishmash of free agents will play with the young core? 24. I’m mildly intrigued to see Collin Sexton and Darius Garland play together. Add in Westbrook and they’d fly up the rankings, though. The new NBA is all about shooting and guard play and speed, and they’re not built around that. I might get killed for this take, but let me explain: They’re kind of boring to watch even if they make the playoffs again. Maybe if Shai Gilgeous-Alexander breaks out, I’ll feel slightly differently. The asterisk assumes Russell Westbrook will not be with this team by the time the season starts. I can see Scary Terry Rozier highlights on Twitter, too, thanks. Nope, not exactly setting my DVR to record Nicolas Batum, Cody Zeller and Marvin Williams. Here we go, with all 30 teams, starting from last to first: 30. And that’s totally different than power rankings, of course, so you’ll see some teams that you might be shocked to find high up on the list (don’t worry, I’ll convince you why they’re so darn watchable). You’ve already seen how the zany 2019 NBA offseason (which still isn’t quite over yet) has changed the power structure in the league with our new rankings of all 30 teams.Īnd now, for something completely different: In past years, we’ve ranked Eastern and Western Conference teams by their watchability - who you’d rather see play on television over others.
